The Landscape of Memories talked about many people with remarkable memory and how they can remember so much. It is crazy how someone can remember the date and what happened about 150 years ago. How do they remember stuff really well meanwhile others can't? Is it from mutation?

In The Pedestrian, a man name Leonard Mead was walking and got picked up by a police car and taken to a mental health place because he wasn't inside his home. I don't think that he should have been pulled over just for on an evening walk. Why is there only one police officer? How do others get exercise?

Jonas struggles going through the snow but he finally reaches "elsewhere." I really did not like how the author ended the book, I think there could have been a lot more such as knowing what elsewhere was like to him and what happens. Is there going to be a second book?

In chapter 19, Jonas sees the release of the twin his father mentioned. But the way they release people is by inserting some poison into them, which kills them. I sort of knew that something bad would happen when someone is released, but I was still shocked when I saw Jonas's dad killing the innocent baby. I wonder if Jonas will mention anything about what happened when releasing the baby to his dad when he sees him.

In this chapter Jonas learns about the girl nobody would mention much. He figured out what happened and how she failed at being The Receiver. Being a receiver seems pretty tough and I don't blame her for wanting to be released. I wonder why they need a receiver, it is terrible for just a few people feeling everyone's pain for them.

In chapter 16 Jonas receives a memory of Christmas and learns about love. He also does not take the pills for the stirrings. I think it must feel really bad to ask your parents if they love you and they start to laugh (which is what happened to Jonas). I wonder how different Jonas will feel after not taking the pills for stirrings.

In chapter 14 Jonas experienced breaking a bone, and chapter 15 Jonas experienced warfare. I feel bad that Jonas has to experience some really horrible things as The Receiver, it must really make you feel worn out after a while. I wonder if Jonas will have to share some horrible memories when he grows up to the next person who is becoming The Receiver.
